I am having a problem with my android phone. I am trying to open any application and it needs more than 5 seconds to run it. I know is not that much time but it makes me nervous! Even if I am trying to open the phone keyboard or my contacts, the phone needs lot of time..

Restart your phone, sometimes the RAM is so full that the phone cannot run properly. After the restart, applications which were running in the background of your phone will not be active any more and it will be much faster.

It's regular every now and then, when you don't properly exit from any programs, it will run in background. And phone gets slower to respond. If you properly stop programs that you've worked or opened, specially browser, you could get rid of from this problem.

Thank you for your recommendations, I have restarted the phone and it was faster.
I will try to be more careful, I think I overused the Home button and lot of applications were running in the background without reason.
