I am having an HTC Evo which is running android OS. I have the default ringtone but I would like to replace it with an MP3 tone. Could you guide me how to do it please?

This is very simple, play song / mp3 of your choice, that you want to set as ringtone, tap menu and select Set as Ringtone. You've finished setting up a mp3 as your ringtone.
